  3. What IS the 'art' you speak of? Asetics differs from people to people. What I see as art may be trash to someone else. For example, is Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain a peice of artwork? Why are there Dada artists? Anything can be a peice of artwork, it is just the way people percive it.

Art is necessart to life - for people to live life. It is what makes life interesting. Being able to appreciate art is also what seperate us from other living creatures.

  4. I believe art is necessary to life and society because it allow many to express themselves in creative ways. Without art the world would be a plain and boring place which no one would enjoy. With art people are able to possibly relate to some of the ideas that are expressed and feel a sense of security that they are not alone.

  6. It all depend on people. I as an upcoming artist will feel that art is necessary because it allows me to be inspired and to learn the past. At the same time, audience look at art as an entertainment. Without it, I guess the world would not be as interesting as it is now.

  7. Art is absolutely necessary for life and society. Art is a way of expressing yourself and changing the world. Art is music, stories, dance, drama, paintings, photography, movies, videogames, sculptures, inside of a house etc. Basically almost everything. And if everything isn't important than life would be boring and dull. People wouldn't know how to express themselves and we'd all be zombies because we'd just follow what people say.

  8. as mentioned in the forehand it differs ,though its not quite certain as these responses are 'largely' from artists themselves. One would wonder what a salaryman/normalperson thinks of art... . In opinion - Art is something necessary to the sanity of humans - much like food. It fuels ideas and inspires for more creations and iterations just as research is done for a project ,that project being life.

  12. It is for modern society to exist. Innovation and technology is made through inspiration, and that inspiration can come from art.

Without artworks for people to express themselves with, things will lack identity, and if you consider the general term, there would be no outlet for creativity or expression. Which would prevent society from moving forward.

  13. Art is necessary to society because it gives the society an opportunity to express themselves freely. Innovation stems from art and without art, there would be nontechnological advances and no social advances. Art is all around us and every thing we do is influenced by art and the culture of our society.

  14. Art is necessary because it documents particular times and events in human history, which we may reflect back to for centuries to come. They display a universal language that binds humans together making them stronger as a whole. Without this essential bond and reference to ancestors before us, we would surly perish and humans would be soon eliminated with internal conflicts.

  16. I do believe that art is necessary because one may not be able to express themselves verbally that well. But once they are given something as simple as a pencil and paper they are able to express physiological thoughts much more clear. And then there is a thought of art not being essential in our society anymore. Data can easily saved using technology. Back then things were not as stable and much more complicated. In modern society art can be generated digitaly so there is a aspect of basic fine art being extinct and computer generated animation revolutionized to something that is common.
